Excerpt from EIRT's show "Reporters" in which first TV appearance of Melina Mercouri in Greece after her return to the country and the fall of the dictatorship is shown. The great Greek actress describes her future artistic plans, highlighting her desire and need to star in a work by young Greek writers and to get to know the contemporary Greek cinema and its young creators. She makes special reference to television. According to her, television is the new powerful mean of communication and she shares her vision to direct a television documentary that will highlight Greek women of different social backgrounds, their way of life and their daily life. In the last part of the show, Melina Mercouri together with the composer Manos Loizos and the singer Mariza Koch rehearse the song "The road had its own story" which will be presented in a big musical-theatrical performance in favor of Cyprus organized by Coordinating Committee of Cypriot Students.
