Video previewThe American teacher Bowlby arrives at Schiphol airport with his two daughters. He's going to pay a visit to Zuizande (municipality Oostburg in Zeeuws-Vlaanderen). After the war this village was adopted by Dalton. For this reason Bowlby has been writing to the local headmaster Van de Reepe for some time. Van de Reepe picks up his colleague. Bowlby stays at Van de Reepes home in Zuidzande and is shown the whole village by him. The American girls learn how to ride a bicycle. Bowlby, Van de Reepe and the students enter the primary school.
