Video previewThe museum "Het Mauritshuis" in The Hague has a put a new central heating system into use. SHOTS: - Ext. Mauritshuis; - int. museum with a demonstration of the heating the old way: a keeper dressed in an overall goes round the halls; he carries a yoke on his shoulders; at the two ends of the yoke are braziers on chains; the keeper walks by all the present empty stoves and places the braziers; - demonstration of heating in the new way: the messenger dressed in a smart uniform walks to the two large boilers in the basement and checks the fire; - tubes and pipes of the heating system run along the walls of the basement, but in the exhibition halls they are stuck behind the benches and panelling; - several details of different paintings, a.o. by hans Holbein, Rogier van der Weyden, Peter Paul Rubens, Jan Steen, Paulus Potter and Meindert Hobbema.
