Video previewJournalists visit the Power Plant Hemweg in Amsterdam as part of a press excursion organised by the Vereniging van Fabrieken op Elektrotechnisch Gebied (Association of Factories in the Electro Technical Field) and the Vereniging Nederlands Fabrikaat (Association Dutch Products). They spend the night in a hotel in Bergen aan Zee, where a demonstration is given of a transistor transmitter pouring a drink by using radio signals. The next day they take a look at the electrical facilities aboard the cruiser De Zeven Provinciën (The Seven Provinces). They also receive an explanation on the radar and a demonstration of the automatic firing of signal rockets.
