Video previewEverything is slowly coming back to normal in the Dutch East Indies. In the working-class area Tanah Abang, on the border of Batavia, a market is held. SHOTS: - Indonesians cross a bridge and head to the market; most of the market vendors have their goods hanging in baskets over their shoulders; Dutch soldiers guard the entrance to the bridge and check everybody; - other people going to the market arrive by tram, hanging from the windows or holding on to the outside of the tram; some passengers get in or out through the window; - scenes of the market: vendors; goods; stalls; customers etc.
